This single malt was distilled in 2017 at the Clynelish Distillery, known for its distinctive character and texturally complex Highland spirit. It was fully matured in a single refill sherry hogshead, which lends gentle layers of dried fruit and subtle oak influence to the distillery’s celebrated style. 

Bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring by Gleann Mòr Spirits for their Rare Find Collection. 

Nose

Victoria sponge cake with thick buttercream sits alongside a bright berry compote. Bourbon biscuits and burnt toffee bring additional tempting sweetness.

Palate

A textural delivery of sugar-dusted red and black berries sits with chocolate-dipped strawberries and a sprinkle of white pepper.

Finish

Lingering on mouth-coating sweet fruitiness and delicate cask spice.

Clynelish sits on the coast at Brora in the north-east Highlands, founded in 1819 and modernised in 1967 beside the original site. It’s famous for producing a bright, waxy, coastal style of single malt — honeyed, lightly fruity, with a touch of sea breeze and gentle peat. That distinctive waxy texture makes it a favourite among whisky fans and an important component in high-end blends, while still standing out beautifully as a single malt in its own right.
