Living Souls

Clynelish 10 Years Old

ABV: 50% 70 cL

This single malt was distilled at Clynelish Distillery near Brora, on the north-east coast of the Scottish Highlands. Clynelish is known for its distinctive waxy, fruity and gently coastal spirit, a style much loved by independent bottlers.

Bottled by independent bottler Living Souls, it was matured for ten years in first fill bourbon hogsheads. Living Souls pairs each release with a scene, and this one takes you to a bakery in a quaint Highland village, with the smell of fresh baking drifting through the air.

The first fill bourbon oak lifts Clynelish's natural fruitiness, giving a bright, sweet and bakery-like whisky. Living Souls describes it as a vibrant 10-year-old.

Aged 10 years and bottled at 50% ABV, with natural colour and no chill filtration. 70cl.

Clynelish sits on the coast at Brora in the north-east Highlands, founded in 1819 and modernised in 1967 beside the original site. It’s famous for producing a bright, waxy, coastal style of single malt — honeyed, lightly fruity, with a touch of sea breeze and gentle peat. That distinctive waxy texture makes it a favourite among whisky fans and an important component in high-end blends, while still standing out beautifully as a single malt in its own right.
