Fragrant Drops

Carsebridge 48 Years Old 1975

ABV: 45.3% 70 cL

This single-grain whisky was distilled at the Carsenbridge Distilley on 17th of December 1975. It was aged for 48 years, before being bottled by Fragrant Drops - an independent bottler based in Edinburgh - without chill filtration or artificial colouring.

Carsebridge has only ever been bottled as a single grain with high age statements by independent bottlers in recent years, though as a result of its closure in 1983, stocks are now running low.

Nose

Banoffee pie, vanilla ice cream, kiwifruit, mango, cooking apples, milk chews, Battenberg cake, vine tomatoes, lemon geranium.

Palate

Toasty oak and oiliness comes through on the palate with strawberries and cream, mini milks, raisins, dried apricots, sweet red apples and banana.

Finish

Banana, on the finish. Peach skins, beer nuts and a light ashiness linger on deliciously from this magnificent whisky.
