Caol Ila 9 Years Old

ABV: 57.2% 70 cL

This single malt from Caol Ila Distillery was distilled on the 2nd July 2015 and finished for 3 years in a fresh Margaux Barrique before being bottled on the 22nd July 2024. Bottled at natural cask strength of 57.2% ABV. Blessed by Bacchus, this peated Islay whisky with a robust Bordeaux double maturation, is bursting with red fruit notes, with rich chocolate and amaretto, balanced with the smokiness of the peat. 

Only 260 Bottles have been produced.

TASTING NOTES:

NOSE: Raspberry sings on the nose with tree sap, cherry coal and pine cones.
PALATE: BBQ meat along with high cocoa content dark chocolate, amaretto and gooseberry.
FINISH: Long smoky ashiness with red fruits, bay leaves and a big hit of liquorice.
