The Spirit of Glaschu
ABV: 50% 70 cL
This is a 'teaspooned' malt of two neighbouring Speyside giants, residing at the banks of the river Fiddich. Technically, it is a blend of two single malts, 99.9% of which was distilled near Balvenie Castle, with a teaspoonful of the Fiddich Valley's finest added in at the end.
Distilled in April 2011, this Burnside spirit spent the first ten (and a bit) years of its life in an ex-bourbon hogshead cask, before being re-racked into a first fill Amarone wine barrel for the last 18 months.
Tax included.
