This single cask was distilled in 1998 at the Bowmore distillery on the Isle of Islay, on the southeastern shore of Loch Indaal. It was matured for 25 years in a single refill barrel, showcasing the character of the Bowmore distillery with sweet, fruity notes complemented by a soft smoke and peat.

It was bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring, by Alistair Walker for his Infrequent Flyers collection.

Nose

Earthy and herbal. Toasted macaroons and rum baba, layered over sweet phenols.

Palate

Sweet and tangy fruits - cranberries and peaches - combining with cinnamon and cracked black pepper. All of which is underwritten by mellow, soft peat, bog myrtle and exotic smoke.
