Berry Bros. & Rudd
ABV: 56.9% 70 cL
This single malt was distilled in 2011 at the Blair Athol Distillery, known for their rich, nutty and malty Highland malt. It was aged for 14 years and drawn from a single Viognier wine cask, which brought a curious twist to the malt's robust core. The nose opens with tropical fruit salad, alongside honeyed brioche and teasing whisp of soft cheese rind. On the palate, coconut cream and apricot mingle with barley sugar and a cooling trace of mint, all wrapped up in a sumptuous, waxy texture. A gentle undercurrent of toasted oak and lemon curd carries through the finish, with echoes of candied ginger, and a distant floral lift.
Tax included.

Blair Athol Distillery was established in 1798, situated south of the scenic town of Pitlochry, by John Stewart and Robert Robertson. Initially, it was called Aldour, named after their water source. However, the distillery didn't see much success, and it was soon closed. In 1826, John Robertson reopened the distillery and renamed it Blair Athol. Since then, it has changed hands several times and is currently owned by Diageo. Blair Athol’s nutty and spicy malt is now at the heart of Bell's Blended Whisky.
