Blair Athol 10 Years Old The Monuments of Scotland

ABV: 50.8% 70 cL

This single malt was distilled in 2015 at the Blair Athol Distillery, in picturesque Pitlochry in the Highland Region of Scotland. It was aged for 10 years and finished in first-fill Oloroso sherry Butts, creating rich and deep malt.

Like every release in the Monuments of Scotland Collection, the label features a well-known Scottish monument, in this case, the Glenfinnan Viaduct - a stunning railway bridge which gained worldwide fame as a filming location for the Harry Potter series.

Blair Athol Distillery was established in 1798, situated south of the scenic town of Pitlochry, by John Stewart and Robert Robertson. Initially, it was called Aldour, named after their water source. However, the distillery didn't see much success, and it was soon closed. In 1826, John Robertson reopened the distillery and renamed it Blair Athol. Since then, it has changed hands several times and is currently owned by Diageo. Blair Athol’s nutty and spicy malt is now at the heart of Bell's Blended Whisky.
