Benrinnes 10 Years Old Cask Series 028

ABV: 59.5% 70 cL

This single malt was distilled in October 2015 at the Benrinnes Distillery near Aberlour in the Speyside Region of Scotland. The unpeated new make spirit was then filled into a single Oloroso sherry butt, where it rested for 10 years develping notes of glacé oranges and crystallised berries. 

Bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring by North Star Spirits

Benrinnes is situated by the foot of the Ben Rinnes mountain, from which it takes its name. The first destination at the original site occurred in 1826, but only three years later, the distillery was destroyed by flood. It was rebuilt in the new location in 1835. Since then, the distillery has endured changes in ownership, bankruptcies, and even a fire. Today, Benrinnes is part of Diageo's portfolio, with two stills and a capacity of 2.5 million litres per year.
