Benrinnes 11 Years Old The Monuments of Scotland

ABV: 50.8% 70 cL

This single malt was distilled in 2015 at the Benrinnes Distillery in the Speyside region of Scotland. It was aged for 11 years and finished in first-fill Oloroso Sherry butts before bottling for the Monuments of Scotland Collection.

Like every release in the Monuments of Scotland Collection, the label features a well-known Scottish monument, in this case, the Tomnaverie Stone Circle - a beautifully preserved recumbent stone circle dating back 4000 years. Believed to have been used for astronomical or ceremonial purposes.

Bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring by Signatory Vintage.

Benrinnes is situated by the foot of the Ben Rinnes mountain, from which it takes its name. The first destination at the original site occurred in 1826, but only three years later, the distillery was destroyed by flood. It was rebuilt in the new location in 1835. Since then, the distillery has endured changes in ownership, bankruptcies, and even a fire. Today, Benrinnes is part of Diageo's portfolio, with two stills and a capacity of 2.5 million litres per year.
