BenRiach Distillery, founded in 1898 by John Duff on the old Riach farm near Elgin in Speyside, is known for its inventive approach to whisky-making, producing characterful unpeated single malts using mineral-rich aquifer water and a wide variety of casks, including bourbon, sherry, wine and virgin oak.
