Finn Thomson

Benriach 12 Years Old

ABV: 52.9% 70 cL

This single malt was distilled on 30th September 2013 at Benriach Distillery. After almost 12 years of maturation, the cask was carefully selected for finishing in Vin de Constance, the legendary sweet white wine known as the “Nectar of the Gods” and reputedly Napoleon’s drink of choice. This exceptional finish adds beautiful layers of ripe apricots and peaches, homemade marmalade, warming cinnamon and gentle spice, creating a whisky of remarkable depth and elegance.

Bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring by Finn Thomson.

BenRiach Distillery, founded in 1898 by John Duff on the old Riach farm near Elgin in Speyside, is known for its inventive approach to whisky-making, producing characterful unpeated single malts using mineral-rich aquifer water and a wide variety of casks, including bourbon, sherry, wine and virgin oak. After periods of closure and revival, the distillery has become celebrated for its gentle Speyside fruitiness, layers of honeyed and orchard-fruit character, and its commitment to innovative cask maturation, all supported by the continued use of traditional floor maltings and an enduringly experimental spirit.
