Little Brown Dog Spirits
ABV: 56.1% 70 cL
This single malt was distilled on the 5th of April 2014 at the Balblair Distillery in the Highland Region of Scotland. It was initially matured in an ex-white port cask, before re-racking it into a Calvados cask a little over a year before bottling, which elevated the spirit and created a beautiful balance with notes of bright green apples and a champagne-like finish.
Bottled on the 6th May 2026 by Little Brown Dog, at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring.
Tax included.

Balblair Distillery, founded in 1790 by John Ross, lies in the Highland village of Edderton overlooking the Dornoch Firth. It is one of Scotland’s oldest working distilleries, built on land long associated with the ancient Picts — a standing stone called Clach Biorach still marks the site’s historic past. Rebuilt in the late 19th century near the railway line, Balblair is now owned by Inver House Distillers. The distillery draws its water from the Allt Dearg burn on the Edderton Hills and employs long fermentation and distinctive squat pot stills to create a smooth, fruity new-make spirit. Its whiskies are typically matured in ex-bourbon casks, producing a character known for bright orchard fruit, honey sweetness, and gentle spice, capturing the freshness and purity of its Highland surroundings.
