ABV: 46.8% 70 cL

This whisky is composed primarily of Bourbon barrel-matured spirit (98%), complemented by a small portion of Sherry casks (2%) to add depth and richness. The spirit itself is a well-balanced mix of unpeated (52%) and peated (48%) whisky, combining the clean sweetness and vanilla tones from Bourbon maturation with subtle sherry influence and a measured touch of smoke for complexity and harmony.

This is the first of many aged releases from Ardnamurchan. 


Nose

coconut, oat biscuits, and zesty orange peel, layered with salty sea air, bonfire leaves, and a hint of strawberry laces and mint.

Palate

rich and creamy, with custard creams, vanilla wafer, brine, and earthy smoke

Finish

A lingering, smoky, maritime warmth defines the finish.

The Adelphi-owned Arnamurchan Distillery, located on the picturesque peninsula of the same name, was built in 2013. The buildings were designed with sustainability in mind, using renewable energy and recycling as much water and heat as possible. The first liquid to run through the distillery was unpeated, with the peated malt being added a year later. Ardnamurchan produces both peated and unpeated spirits, often combining the two to create a new depth of flavours and unique style.
