Bottled by Living Souls, at natural colour and no chill filtration.

Nose

Earthy smoke rises from the glass, mingling with marzipan, burnt sugar, sultanas and the festive warmth of stollen bread.

Palate

Notes of coal fire, old trains and engine oil meet ash, crackling heat and a touch of honey roast ham, all carried by a lingering burnt sugar sweetness.

Finish

Bold yet inviting, it captures Ardmore'd unmistakable smoky character.

Ardmore distillery was founded by Adam Teacher, who decided that the family blending business needed its own supply of malt. The rural Aberdeenshire was the perfect spot, with an abundance of fresh water, a nearby peat source, barley fields and proximity to the train line. The Ardmore is one of the few East Coast distilleries that has never stopped using peat in its distillation process, combining gentle smoke with more fruity and floral notes associated with its region.
