This single malt from Ardmore Distillery was distilled on the 2nd of December 2014. It spent ten years in a refill bourbon barrel before we re-racked it into virgin oak in July 2025, where it carried on developing for the final year.

Ardmore is lightly peated by nature, and virgin oak complements that beautifully. The cask brings sweetness and spice without ever burying the distillery character underneath, giving a whisky that is smoky and creamy at the same time. 

Bottled by Blind Summit at natural cask strength, without chill filtration or added colour.

Nose

Toast and sweet smoke on the nose, with burnt orange marmalade, chocolate and charcoal, then toasted almonds and apricot sitting behind.

Palate

Full bodied and creamy on the palate, the smoke and fruit carrying through with cinnamon and ginger spice building as it opens up.

Finish

Warm and lingering finish.

Ardmore distillery was founded by Adam Teacher, who decided that the family blending business needed its own supply of malt. The rural Aberdeenshire was the perfect spot, with an abundance of fresh water, a nearby peat source, barley fields and proximity to the train line. The Ardmore is one of the few East Coast distilleries that has never stopped using peat in its distillation process, combining gentle smoke with more fruity and floral notes associated with its region.
