This exciting set by Woodrow's of Edinburgh is an experiment carried out to settle two hypotheses: "Wood types have a significant impact on flavour development of maturing whisky"  and "Wines from different bodegas have different flavours. When used for seasoning, the differences have a significant impact on the flavour development of maturing whisky". 

To compare different maturations, they took a single cask from the Caol Ila distillery and split it into 8 barrels. American oak blood tub seasoned with Oloroso wine from Montilla, European oak blood tub seasoned with oloroso wine from Montilla, American oak blood tub seasoned with oloroso sherry from Jerez region, European oak blood tub seasoned with oloroso sherry from the Jerez region, American oak blood tub seasoned with Pedro Ximenez wine from Montilla region, European oak bloody seasoned with Pedro Ximenez wine from Montilla region, American oak blood tub seasoned with Pedro Ximenez sherry from Jerez region, European oak blood tub seasoned wit Pedro Ximenez sherry from Jerez region. 

All 8 whiskies are bottled at 50% and are 200ml per bottle
