This single malt was distilled in 2007 at an undisclosed distillery on the Isle of Islay. It was aged for 16 years in a single hogshead that preciously held Ruby Port and bottled by Alistair Walker for his Infrequent Flyer collection without chill-filtration or artificial colouring. 

Only 305 bottles were produced. 

TASTING NOTES

NOSE Sweet tobacco and soft peat, with a burst of cracked black pepper and stem ginger. Damp asphalt. Captivating aroma; you could lose yourself in this.
PALATE Beautifully poised. The base whisky delivers lingering, soft, elegant phenols. These are overlaid with apricots, blood orange and peaches from the port cask, with a spicy flourish towards the end. Peated Islay and fortified wine casks - a winning combination.
