The first installment in the Elements Series from Laphroaig delves into the different aspects of the distillery's production. 

Produced from 100% Islay malt, this single malt focuses on what can be achieved through changes in the distillation process, rather than the influence of different cask finishes and maturations. The distillery team was given free rein to create something unexpected, embodying the classic Laphroaig profile while also adding new dimensions. The distillery typically uses semi-cloudy wort to achieve its classic combo of fruity, smoky character, but here the team opted for using a 50/50 combo of fully and semi-cloudy wort, amping up those tropical notes and phenols to new heights.
