This single malt was distilled in 2013 at Bunnahabhain Distillery on the Isle of Islay. It was aged in a single hogshead and bottled by Berry Bros. & Rudd under the name Staoisha, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring. 

Peat is the order of the day here; powerful aromas of peat smoke, new leather, cedar, smoked haddock and a coastal breeze present themselves immediately although a little time shows a nice backbone of vanilla running throughout. The palate is similarly dominated by peat smoke, wool jumpers, charcoal and ash, all held together by pleasingly sweet oak character and a burst of lemon zest. Unsurprisingly the finish shows more peat smoke, hints of digestive biscuit and a little drop of coconut.
