8 Doors Distillery is one of Scotland’s newest whisky distilleries, situated on the dramatic northern coastline of Caithness in John O’Groats. Established by husband-and-wife team Derek and Kerry Campbell, the distillery combines traditional production methods with a modern vision, aiming to create a rich and fruit-forward Highland single malt. Named after the local tale of Jan de Groot and his famous eight-door home, the distillery draws strong inspiration from the history and character of the surrounding area. Although their own whisky is still patiently maturing in cask and has not yet been officially released, 8 Doors has already attracted attention through a selection of independent bottlings and blended whiskies, building anticipation for the distillery’s future single malt releases.
