This outstanding release from Bruichladdich distillery is the first in a cask exploration series made using only Islay-grown barley, which was malted at 40ppm. It combines two great passions of the distillery - incredible provenance and the highest quality French oak. 

This nine-year-old was aged in a combination of Sherry butts, first and second fill American whiskey barrels, all finished in Sauternes casks. 

TASTING NOTES

NOSE Sweet, stoned fruit with delicate floral perfume and hints of smoke. Peaches in syrup, followed by vanilla and brown sugar and more peat. 
PALATE Warm and elegant with light peat and ripe fruit, followed by earthy notes of leather and bott polish with sweet vanilla, chocolate and citrus. 
FINISH  Long and lingering
