After more than three decades in wood, the whisky spent its final period in a 1st fill Oloroso sherry hogshead before being bottled as cask #12.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOloroso is a rich, oxidatively aged sherry from Jerez in southern Spain. A first fill cask has held sherry immediately before receiving whisky, so it gives the most influence, adding depth, colour and a rounded sweetness. The hogshead is a mid-sized cask, giving good contact between spirit and wood.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBringing a delicate, fruit-led Speyside spirit together with a first fill Oloroso cask after 31 years gives a whisky of real depth and maturity, where the sherry adds weight without hiding the elegance of the distillery character.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAged 31 years, distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2026 from cask #12.
