ABV: 58.6% 70 cL

This single malt was distilled on the 8th of September 2014 at the Glenglassaugh Distillery near Portsoy, just outside of the Speyside Region of Scotland. It was aged for 10 years in a Sauternes hogshead, creating in a rich malt with warming spice. 

It was bottled by Alistair Walker for their Infrequent Flyer collection at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring.

Nose

Stewed raisins and sultanas, crushed digestives and toasted oak.

Palate

Viscous, rich and intense, to be expected given the whisky has spent more than half of its life in Sauternes cask. The bold sweetness of Demerara sugar and soft caramel share top billing with tangy apricot marmalade, asllspice and ginger.
