This single malt was distilled in June 2008 at the Glen Elgin Distillery, located in the Highland region of Scotland, and aged for 13 years in a recharged hogshead. It was bottled without chill-filtration at natural cask strength by Alistair Walker for his Infrequent Flyers Collection.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Fruity - stewed apples. Walnuts and boiled sweets.
PALATE
A real bakery store feel to it - creamy and buttery, shortbread, custard creams and honey. A spicy, chilli note comes through towards the end.
