TASTING NOTES:
NOSE: | Rich and inviting, opening with dark dried fruits, raisins, figs, and dates, underpinned by a deep sherry influence. Layers of spiced oak, dark chocolate, and a hint of espresso. Subtle notes of leather, toasted almonds, and a touch of citrus zest add complexity, along with a warm, sweet honeyed aroma. |
PALATE: | Full-bodied and robust, with an initial burst of rich, sherried sweetness—think Christmas cake, dark toffee, and molasses. Followed by a wave of spiced warmth, with cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove dominating. The oak influence is pronounced, delivering a smooth, tannic structure, while dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, and a touch of dried orange peel add depth and richness. |
FINISH: | Long and warming, with the sherry cask influence lingering beautifully. Notes of dried fruits, spiced oak, and dark chocolate evolve, leaving a slightly dry, tannic edge. Hints of sweet spices and a subtle smoky undertone persist, with a final touch of rich, sherried sweetness. |
Tax included.
