Dailuaine 9 Years Old
This 9 Year old single malt from Dailuaine Distillery, is a special dram with a mystery maturation. The paperwork pointed to this cask being aged in ex Bourbon wood, though the sample was dark red. The warehouse it came from confirmed that it was in a barrique, though with no distinguishing marks it is a bit of a mystery. Distilled on the 9th February 2015 and aged for 9 years, before being bottled on the 18th July 2024, this dram is dark, super rich and bursting at the seams with intense level of esters. Bottled at natural cask strength of 58.5% ABV.
Only 276 Bottles have been produced.
TASTING NOTES:
| NOSE: | Caramel, honey, rose water, star anise and blackberry jam. |
| PALATE: | Mulled cider, vanilla pods, balsamic glaze and panettone. |
| FINISH: | Oily and nutty. There is more spice with hot apple pie, Demerara sugar and lingering sweetness. |
