This single malt whisky from Craigellachie Distillery was distilled on the 27th March 2012 and has been aged for 12 years in a Virgin Oak Barrel. Bottled at natural cask strength of 58.7% ABV, without chill filtration or artificial colouring, this whisky has a burnt amber colour with vanilla, caramel and biscuit notes, with a sweet spiciness.

Only 220 Bottles have been produced.

TASTING NOTES:

NOSE:
An intense nose. Concentrated vanilla, caramel, crushed digestive biscuits and warm, buttery shortbread.
PALATE:
A warming dram, with typical Craigellachie chunkiness. The Virgin Oak influence is strong - pouring honey, sweet butterscotch, molten Demerara sugar and almond pralines. Some sweet spiciness comes through at the back - nutmeg, and a little pepper - with a hint of marzipan too.
