This single malt was distilled at Caol Ila distillery on Islay on the 3rd of August 2010. It was aged for 11 years partly in First-fill Sherry hogshead. It was bottled from a single hogshead at natural cask strength without chill-filtration or artificial colouring by The Red Cask Co.
Seaweed, dry, sweet smoke. Some leather comes through as well.
Smoky, dry, sweet aniseed woody taste, with slightly dark chocolate flavours, still some sweet notes lingering on the tongue.
Dry wood slightly smoky lingering after taste of dark chocolate.
