This single malt whisky from Bunnahabhain Distillery was distilled on the 28th October 2013 and has been aged for 10 years in a 1st fill Ex-Bourbon Barrel and bottled from a Peated Bunnahabhain (Staoisha) cask. Bottled at natural cask strength of 56.6% ABV, without chill filtration or artificial colouring, this whisky has a light gold colour with maritime, smoked haddock and fruity notes.
Only 190 Bottles have been produced.
TASTING NOTES:
| NOSE: | Martime. Smoked haddock in warm butter, really kippers. Savoury peat-smoke initially, but then slightly sweet / burnt rubber notes emerge. |
| PALATE: | Intense. Soft, sweet peat - slightly medicinal, but with som real nice fruit notes - fresh blueberries and apricots. Cracked black pepper at the close. A super-approachable, unadulterated plated Islay malt. |
